So, finally time to make it official, eventhough it has been long under way.
Early Modern have added the incredible Den Sorte Skole to the roster and I am well proud of it!
These guys are quite a gem – mixing sounds from all over the world, weawing them into a beautiful unison tapestry.
Actually I’ve been working with these guys for over a year and much has happened already, and the very near and distant future holds some exciting adventures for them and me.
Just give them a listen on Spotify Click here to listen to my (current) fav track with them.
So in recent news, Rangleklods have changed their name to Blondage.
On the namechange Pernille says: “We’ve released records with Rangleklods that we’re extremely proud of. But we need a new beginning for us to keep evolving. We’re changing our name to Blondage, and our main focus is to make edgy electronic pop tunes. The name Blondage is a contraction of ‘blond’ and ‘bondage’ and to us it combines naivety and daydreaming with aggression and sensuality. It has given us an empty canvas and a greater creative energy than we’ve ever had”.

Get in the mood with this gem of a video of “Sammen” from his sold out show at Jazzhouse.
Thoughtfulness and existentialism characterize this album from Troels Abrahamsen whom with
EXEC has returned to the basics of songwriting. ‘Going Under’ is about the reassurance of
knowing where you end up. In a constant search for the good and true life, one will be hit by
defeat more often than not. By recognizing that you will most likely end in the same place no
matter how you live your life, you are freed from this search – at least for a while.
“The Limber Reel” is out Feb 12th through Tambourhinoceros.
Happy new year everyone!
2015 was an incredible year for us here at Early Modern HQ celebrating three releases that all went amazingly well and are topping a lot of the Best of the Year lists.
2016 starts off with the debut album from Exec, out Feb 12th and I cannot tell you how excited we are!

The video for “lost u” came out last week and was premiered by Vice Noisey, THUMP, The Gap, Rockstar Magazine, Glamcult and MTV Iggy.
The single is in heavy rotation on FM4 and several other radiostations around Europe and the band is currently getting ready for doing some heavy touring very soon starting in March with SXSW.
So happy to finally announce that from today Early Modern started working with the amazing Danish rapper Kasper Spez.
Kasper has previously released an ep, “Love Junkie” through Run for Cover and the album “Fantasten” through Tabu Records, both to much critical acclaim – and now, after a five year hiatus, he has a new album on the way.
